Exotics Under the Probe: A Webinar Evening on Ultrasound in Zoo and Exotic Species

ECOPET is pleased to share an interesting educational initiative organized by veterinary students and dedicated to one of the most fascinating fields of veterinary diagnostic imaging: ultrasonography in zoo, wildlife and exotic species.

On June 24th, veterinarians Laurent Locquet and Miriam Vistas will guide participants through the opportunities and challenges of performing ultrasound examinations in species whose anatomy, physiology and handling requirements differ substantially from those of traditional companion animals.

Ultrasonography has become an indispensable diagnostic tool across veterinary medicine, but its application in exotic and zoological species often requires specific knowledge, adapted techniques and a thorough understanding of species-related limitations.

During this free online webinar, attendees will gain valuable insights into both cardiac and general ultrasonographic examinations in a variety of exotic species.
